Thanks everyone for being part of today’s launch of the Future of the Workplace report in Exeter. The full report - with stats, views, findings, trends, photos, and hopefully no typos (no prizes for spotting any) is now freely available to the business community to download HERE!
Basically it’s looking at how we are working, based on what the business community in and around Exeter has told us (Thanks Exeter Chamber for helping with the survey!)
At Space we’re fascinated by the Future of the Workplace, sharing best practice and understanding the challenges that organisations face. If we can help businesses understand the opportunities and how to create workspaces that support modern working - good for productivity and well-being - often by making simple changes, that has to be a good thing.
It was great to see so many local Exeter businesses at the launch at our office in Southernhay today.
Thanks to Exeter City Council Director, David Bartram who spoke about what the council is striving to do to create more modern office space for the city.
The good news is - we now have evidence, not just of some of the great companies committed to providing outstanding workspaces but also some of the challenges.
One is definitely the lack of modern office space, something which can only be solved by the council, developers, landlords and businesses getting better at working together. The council needs to understand the business community’s requirements and we need a bold business vision for the city to strive for.
The report is packed with findings, information, examples and top tips.
Other the next few weeks we’ll be delving into those findings and providing insight, top tips and real-life case studies to help you and perhaps change the way you think about your workplace, your tech and employees to help your business thrive.
And if you’ve got a workplace or work initiative that you’re proud of - tell us. Let’s share the good news!
